Arrive in Rome and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure. This evening, enjoy an orientation meeting with your Tour Manager, followed by a Welcome Dinner

DAY 3, Sunday - Tour Ancient Rome
The historic tour of ancient Rome begins at the legendary Roman Forum, the central area of the city from which ancient Rome developed. Next, view the triumphal Arch of Constantine, erected by the Roman Senate to commemorate Constantine’s tenth year of leadership over the Eternal City. On to the mighty Colosseum, the largest amphitheater built in the Roman Empire that seated over 50,000, where gladiator contests and public events were attended by the rich, the poor and by the Emperor himself. Discover the delights of Rome this afternoon on your own. Stop at a local café for lunch and just people-watch, or savor a cappuccino, indulge in a delectable gelato or try an authentic Italian pizza

DAY 4, Monday - Vatican Museum and Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel
Today visit the Vatican Museums and Michelangelo's masterpiece, the Sistine Chapel. Stroll through one of the most important art collections of the world. Admire the Gallery of Tapestries and the Geographical Maps before arriving to the Sistine Chapel, with its great frescoes by Michelangelo. Continue to St. Peter's Square, passing Bernini's famous colonnade to view St. Peter's Basilica,* built on the burial site of Saint Peter, with the most famous Michelangelo’s Pieta. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure or, join the optional walking tour of the Eternal City’s grand piazzas that begins at the Spanish Steps and continues to the legendary Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and the baroque Piazza Navona. Tonight join a scenic drive through the city and dinner in a typical Roman restaurant with wine and music

DAY 5, Tuesday - Medieval Assisi City Tour en route to Florence
Depart Rome to the small medieval town of Assisi perched high on a hill in the Umbria region, with its Roman ruins, winding medieval streets and sacred shrines. Assisi is best known as the birthplace of St. Francis of Assisi - patron saint of Italy. Its main attraction is the 13th-century Basilica di San Francesco, one of the artistic highlights of medieval Europe which contains the sacred relics of St. Francis and Giotto's astonishing frescoes. The town of Assisi has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its significant art and architecture. Afterwards, continue to the lively Renaissance city of Florence, with its priceless art and architecture for overnight

DAY 6, Wednesday - Tour of Florence
Today's tour of Florence begins with a visit to the Accademia of Fine Arts, where Michelangelo's David is housed; stand in awe of this glorious work of art. Walk to the Duomo, celebrated for its magnificent dome designed by Brunelleschi, and view the Baptistery's renowned "Gates of Paradise" by Ghiberti. Continue on a walk through the open-air museum at Signoria Square, ending at the splendid Ponte Vecchio. Florence is indeed the center of the world's finest art and architecture. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure in this spectacular Renaissance city, or participate in the optional guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery* that provides insight into the history of the structure and its collections. The tour highlights include exceptional examples of Florentine painting to help you better understand the works of the masters, including Giotto, Botticelli, and Leonardo da Vinci.. Tonight, a delightful evening that begins with a ride through the Tuscan hills to a lovely restaurant where a sumptuous Tuscan dinner is served along with unlimited wine and entertainment

DAY 7, Thursday - Tuscany & Pisa en route to Venice
Depart Florence, traveling through the stunning golden landscape of Tuscany, dotted with olive and fig trees, to Pisa where we view the famous Piazza dei Miracoli with its Leaning Tower, one of the most instantly recognizable structures on earth. The monuments on the extraordinary Piazza dei Miracoli create a unique architectural blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles. Then, visit a traditional Tuscan farm in the countryside for wine tasting coupled with delectable local specialties before continuing to magical Venice for overnight

DAY 8, Friday - Boat Ride to Murano, Tour of Venice
The discovery of Venice begins with a boat ride to the Island of Murano, known for its artistic and colorful Murano glassware. While here enjoy a visit to one of the factories to witness the art of glass blowing. Afterwards, on to St. Mark's Square where you begin the guided walking tour of this romantic city. View the Golden Basilica of San Marco, built over several centuries in a fusion of Byzantine, Roman and Venetian architecture. Walk via the Bridge of Sighs, created at the beginning of the 17th century to serve as a link between theprisons. Continue, to the pink marble Doge's Palace, official residence of the Venetian ruler; its facade is highlighted by a massive late-Gothic gate, known as the Porta della Carta. The rest of the day is yours to explore Venice independently. Or participate in this afternoon's optional Gondola Ride with music - it's definitely one of the highlights of any Italian holiday! DAY 9, Saturday - Travel to Croatia, Embarkation in Porec
Begin your adventure to Croatia with a scenic drive to Porec, a popular summer resort on the coast of the Istrian Peninsula for embarkation. You’ll be warmly welcomed by the Captain and crew with time to relax before tonight’s festive dinner on board

DAY 10, Sunday - Port of Rovinj, Brijuni National Park, Pula Roman Amphitheatre
As you sail along the Istrian Peninsula, a stop in the delightful Croatian fishing port of Rovinj. The steep cobbled streets of the Old Town lead to the hilltop church of St. Euphemia, whose towering steeple dominates the skyline, now a gathering place of artists from around the world. Next, on to Brijuni National Park, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the Adriatic, once the personal summer retreat of Marshal Tito. World leaders visited this paradise including Nasser of Egypt and Nehru of India. The unique harmony of flora and fauna is indeed a sight to see. Return to the ship for lunch before reaching picturesque Pula, known for its protected harbor, beach-lined coast and its wealth of Roman architecture. View the remarkably well preserved amphitheater in the heart of the city often used as a venue for summer concerts and festivals. Tonight, perhaps a walk along the coast, dotted with lively seaside cafes and fabulous seafood restaurants

DAY 11 , Monday - Mali Losinj
In the morning, dock at Mali Losinj with its colorful seafront dotted by a string of 19th century sea captains’ houses and grand residences, once the preferred holiday resort of Franz Josef, Emperor of Austria. Because of the abundance of herbs grown on the island it’s known as the heart of “wellness and vitality” ringed by centers of aromatherapy, yoga, body scrubs and facial renewals. Lunch on board, while continuing your journey towards Zadar, with a swimming stop at one of the small islands along the way. Tonight, enjoy dinner on board

DAY 12, Tuesday - Historic Zadar, Waterfalls at Krka National Park, Primosten
Awaken this morning surrounded by views of the dramatic Adriatic coast and the town of Zadar. A morning walking tour takes you to Zadar’s historic center dominated by 16th century Venetian walls and a gate guarded by a Venetian lion. Visit Five Wells Square with its unique cisterns, the Church of St. Donat, a fine example of Byzantine architecture and St. Anastasia, Dalmatia’s largest cathedral. Zadar is a perfect blend of Roman architecture, Habsburg elegance and a picture-perfect seafront. Lunch on board as you set sail. Later, arrive at Krka National Park, a magical place of dramatic waterfalls and gorges, with rivers gushing through huge canyons. Travel overland to meet the ship in atmospheric Primosten. Balance of the day is at leisure in this town, known for its beaches and nightlife. Tonight, discover some of the Adriatic’s best regional cuisine and popular red wine from the local Babic vine. DAY 13, Wednesday - Diocletian’s Palace in Split, Hvar Town
Welcome to Split, the spirited capital of Dalmatia. A walking tour along the cobbled streets of the Old Town takes you to the historic inner city built around the astonishing 4th Century Palace of Diocletian, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. This spectacular palace, one of the best-preserved and largest in the world is a precious example of Roman architecture. View remains of the Roman Peristyle, the Cathedral of St. Domnius and the Temple of Jupiter with its headless black sphinx. Afterwards, lunch on board while sailing to enchanting Hvar*, an international playground for the rich and famous with its lush vineyards and quaint fishing harbor. In Hvar, visit the Theatre, built in Renaissance style and St. Stephen's Cathedral, with its massive four story bell tower. Evening is at leisure. Perhaps dine at one of the family-owned restaurants in Hvar. Tonight, the clear waters of the Adriatic will bring you to your next destination: Korcula

DAY 14, Thursday - Magical Korcula, Mljet National Park
Arrive in magical Korcula, legendary birthplace of explorer Marco Polo. A walking tour takes you along narrow cobbled streets to the medieval walled city and the Cathedral of St. Mark with its ornate façade. Reboard and enjoy lunch as you set sail for Mljet, Croatia’s greenest island with lush Mediterranean vegetation, a gentle sandy shoreline and a wealth of underwater sea life. Tour the island and the National Park with its two inland salt-water lakes connected by a narrow canal. In the middle lies the tiny islet of Sv. Marija, with a former Benedictine monastery, dating from the 12th century. Return to the ship. Tonight, a festive captain’s dinner with live entertainment -- bid farewell to the captain and crew and to newfound friends

DAY 15, Friday - Spectacular Dubrovnik, “Pearl of the Adriatic”
Morning sail along the coast to the spectacular walled city of Dubrovnik, the "Pearl of the Adriatic" named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, a walking tour of Old Dubrovnik highlights the city's treasures within its 800-year old walls including the Rector's Palace, an outstanding blend of Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Continue to the Dominican Monastery, whose museum is a major treasury of culture and to the Franciscan Monastery home to a 30,000-volume library and a 14th-century pharmacy. Linger on your own, or, return to the ship for lunch. The rest of the day is at leisure to discover all of the delights of this magnificent city on your own. Tonight, dinner at one of Dubrovnik’s popular restaurants on the last night of your journey in the captivating Adriatic
