Day 1: Australia – – Calgary

Today, depart Australia to begin your Canada & Alaska holiday! On arrival after clearing customs and immigration formalities, make your own way to your hotel. The hotel provides a 24/7 airport shuttle. You can request the hotel shuttle with the phones located in the arrivals hall. On arrival at your hotel, the remainder of the day is free at leisure. Tonight, your Webjet tour guide will welcome you to Canada. Please note – some flights may depart one day earlier. Alberta’s landscape encompasses mountains, prairies, desert badlands and vast coniferous forests. It has more than 600 lakes, and rich mineral deposits. In the west, the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks have glaciers in the Columbia Icefields. The Waterton Glacier International Peace Park is a biosphere reserve that straddles the southern border with the USA.
Hotel: Ramada Plaza Calgary Airport Hotel or similar

Day 2: Calgary – Banff – Lake Louise – Jasper (B)

After breakfast, we begin our journey into the Canadian Rockies, with our first stop in the chic mountain town of Banff. The peaks of Mt. Rundle and Mt. Cascade, part of the Rocky Mountains, dominate its skyline. On Banff Avenue, the main thoroughfare, boutiques and restaurants mix with château-style hotels and souvenir shops. After time to wander the streets of Banff, we continue our drive heading north to the “Diamond in the Wilderness” otherwise known as Lake Louise. There is time to enjoy the foreshore and gaze at the emerald waters and towering mountains. We then continue our journey through the Rocky Mountains to our overnight stop in the quaint mountain town of Jasper.

Hotel: Mountain Park Lodges or similar

Day 3: Jasper – Kamloops (B)

This morning is yours to explore picturesque Jasper at your own pace. Some mountain towns base their appeal on trying  to be trendy. Jasper retains its timeless appeal by being unpretentious — an intimate community that originated as a railway town that just happens to be in the middle of some of the most gorgeous protected wilderness in the world. After time exploring Jasper, we continue through the stellar scenery including the spectacular Mount Robson before making our way out of the Rocky Mountains and on to the town of Kamloops.

Hotel: Ramada Inn Kamloops or similar

Day 4: Kamloops – Whistler – Vancouver (B)
Today our journey takes us along the Trans Canada Highway towards the ski town of Whistler. After arriving in Whistler, you will enjoy some time to eat or stroll around this picturesque mountain town. Whistler is only about 2 hours north of Vancouver, and roughly about 4 hours west of Kamloops. Over two million people visit Whistler annually, primarily for alpine skiing and snowboarding and, in Summer, mostly mountain biking. Its pedestrian village centre has won numerous
design awards and Whistler has been voted among the top destinations in North America. Whistler’s urban landscape was specifically designed to accommodate the natural environment. Many of Whistler’s bears have learned to do things like  open car doors or hold spring-closed gates open so they can reach food. Some have even learnt to open the newspaper bins! We then continue down the North Shore. Highway 99, between Horseshoe Bay & Squamish, has to be one of the most beautiful roads in the area. With the ocean glimmering on the right and the mountains rising on the left, it is truly enchanting. On arrival into Vancouver, the evening is at leisure.

Hotel: Abercorn Inn or similar

Day 5: Vancouver – Embark on cruise (B,D)
Today, your private coach will transport you from your hotel to the Vancouver cruise port, to join your luxury award winning Celebrity Cruise of the inside passage. Upon arrival at the cruise port, you will proceed to check-in to begin your wonderful cruise through the natural wonders of Alaska.

Cruise: Celebrity Eclipse

Day 6: Inside Passage (scenic cruising) (B,L,D)
Today, enjoy everything your ship has to offer as you sail between the Inside Passage. Today you will sail beyond the Inside Passage into the more protected Alaska Inside Passage. Home to diverse wildlife—orca, mountain goats, bald eagles, bears, puffins, sea otters and more—the complex labyrinth of fjords and bays are where whales and sea lions find refuge during the summer months.

Cruise: Celebrity Eclipse

Day 7: Icy Strait Point (B,L,D)
For thousands of years, the Tlingit Indians have called this place home. Located near the city of Hoonah, and home to a historic cannery, Icy Strait Point also offers travellers the chance to view wildlife like humpback whales, orcas, seals, eagles, and brown bears, or to explore monuments to the region’s fishing heritage.

Cruise: Celebrity Eclipse

Day 8: Hubbard Glacier (B,L,D)
Today you are in for a treat! Spectacular views of the Hubbard Glacier await. Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs as high as 10-story buildings, sending massive blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes.

Cruise: Celebrity Eclipse

Day 9: Juneau (B,L,D)
Today we port in Juneau – often described as America’s most unusual state capital, as no roads lead into or out of town. The city is surrounded by nature, namely towering mountains and the waters of Gastineau Channel. A city that gracefully balances frontier ruggedness with cosmopolitan flair. Mendenhall Glacier, a river of ice measuring 1.5 miles in width and over 6 miles in length, is part of Juneau’s Icefield, 1500 square miles of ice that feeds 38 glaciers and ready for you to take a float trip on it. Many optional activities are on offer from whale watching and zip lining to touring the Capitol building or the Alaskan Brewing Co.

Cruise: Celebrity Eclipse

Day 10: Ketchikan (B,L,D)
You have never tasted salmon so fresh. Known as the ‘Salmon Capital of the World’, Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world’s largest collection of totem poles. You’re bound to visit Creek Street, a row of wooden buildings perched over the water on pilings. Brightly painted boutiques once catered to gentlemen seeking the company of “sporting women.” The museum at Dolly’s House gives you a glimpse into the bawdy ways of frontier life, though Ketchikan’s red-light district wasn’t shut down until 1953. The town offers the perfect blend of activities: kayak in Misty Fjords or hike up Deer Mountain or for the less adventurous, wander in and out of the fantastic galleries and shops.

Cruise: Celebrity Eclipse

Day 11: Inside Passage (scenic cruising) (B,L,D)
Today we sail back through the Inside Passage toward our return to Vancouver. Take in the spectacular scenery on last time while enjoying the first class facilities on board the ship.

This morning, disembark from your luxury cruise ship for your final day in Canada. A Webjet representative will meet you at the port to assist with your luggage transfer to Vancouver airport (one piece per person). We then commence a half-day sightseeing tour of Vancouver – drive around Stanley Park stopping at the Totem Poles and Prospect Point, see Chinatown with a stop at Dr Sun-Yat-Sen-Park, see Gastown with a stop at the Steam Clock and finally stop at Granville Island where you can explore the Public Market and the many shops. After the tour, you will then have free time at leisure. At the appropriate time, please make your own way to Vancouver airport for your homeward flight. Taxis, public transport and airport shuttle services are readily available from downtown Vancouver. At Vancouver Airport, pick-up of your luggage at YVR Storage located at the International Arrivals Level 2, past Tim Hortons by the washrooms.
