DAY 01 – ARRIVAL COLOMBO - KANDY
On arrival with meeting and assistance at the airport. Our representative will meet to welcome and escort you by a private chauffeur driven transport and straight drive to Negombo, On arrival check-in at Hotel. Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage – set amongst the verdant hills of Kegalle is a unique orphanage, where the tiny tots weigh 60 kg or more. This is the Pinnewela Elephant Orphanage, the world's first and only elephant orphanage established to feed, nurse and house young elephants lost or abandoned by their mothers. Other occupants are elephants displaced from their natural environs by development projects or those found wounded. Visitors could see the baby elephants being fed milk from gigantic feeding bottles or bathed in the river which flows nearby – an unforgettable sight! Established in 1975, by the Wildlife Department and National Zoological gardens which subsequently led to a breeding programme through which more than twenty five elephants have been born since 1984. DAY 02 – KANDY - PERADENIYA - KANDY
Full day excursion to Peradeniya.
The Royal Botanical Gardens - Located 460 m above sea-level close to Kandy and surrounded from three sides by the river Mahaweli, Peradeniya botanical garden was founded in the year of 1824. Some of the best and most valuable collections of plants and Trees in the world (more than 4000 species, indoor and outdoor) can be seen here. Most of the honourable guests who visited Sri Lanka, for instance The Queen Elizabeth, Marshal Tito, Chancellor Henry Kiesinger and Juri Gagarin, have planted memorable trees in this park. Within the gardens is the famous Orchid House which boasts of the largest collection of Orchids in Asia and the renowned World War 2 Headquarters of Lord Mountbatten.Lord Louis Mountbatten had his Supreme Headquarters, South East Asia, discreetly erected among the exotic blooms of the Royal Botanical Gardens in Kandy. It is from here that he planned, conducted and completed Operation Zipper – The final plan for re-occupation of Singapore and Malaya from the Japanese. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03 – KANDY - TEA PLANTATION - NUWARA ELIYA
After breakfast depart by surface to Nuwara Eliya, On arrival check-in at Hotel.
NuwaraEliya – Sri Lanka's premier hill resort with a fine bracing mountain climate, NuwaraEliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country, producing some of the world’s best tea. The mountain slopes and valleys are a carpet of velvety green tea plantations, interspersed with gushing streams and tumbling waterfalls. Red or green roofed plantation bungalows, English country style homes and hotels with lovely flower gardens, a fine 18 hole golf course and a racecourse gives NuwaraEliya a decidedly British character. On arrival check into hotel and relax. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04 – NUWARA ELIYA - COLOMBO
After having your breakfast you’ll leave for Colombo. On arrival check-in at Hotel.
Spend your evening by enjoying the panoramic city trip of Colombo city while shopping your heart out. A city full of colour and life, the largest city of Sri Lankan Island is a perfect commercial hub. The history of city is still visible through its modernized heart. Its architecture depicts the Portuguese, Dutch and British style of architecture. Indian Travel Agent will let you help in exploring the city to its fullest. Its Fort describes the designs of Dutch and Portuguese. The British presence can be seen through the names of street here such as York Street, Duke Street and Bristol Street. Contrary to its history modern architecture is visible in the form of World Trade Centre. The glimpses of this city will forever stay in your heart. PettahBazzar Immediately east of Fort, across the narrow canal that separates the outer harbor from the Beira Lake is Pettah, the bazaar of the city. It's a maze of streets & alleys piled & crammed with a wide variety of goods, materials & provisions: colorful textiles, spices, fruits, vegetables, clothes, footwear, electrical equipment, dried fish, silver & gold. DAY 05 – DEPART COLOMBO
Transfer back to airport to board your flight home.>
