Itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to Arnhem Land

Fly from Cairns to Gove and explore Nhulunbuy, including Roy (Malpi) Marika Lookout, Gayngaru Wetlands and Gove Harbour.

Day 2 – Exploring the Gove Peninsula

Experience a traditional Welcome to Country, visit Buku-Larrnggay Mulka Art Centre and learn about Yolngu culture and traditional bush medicine.

Day 3 – Journey to Murwangi

Travel along the Central Arnhem Road into the heart of Arnhem Land and the Arafura floodplains.

Day 4 – Arafura Swamp

Discover the culturally significant Arafura Swamp with a scenic cruise and 4WD adventure accompanied by Indigenous guides.

Day 5 – Ramingining & Maningrida

Visit Bula’bula Art Centre before travelling towards Maningrida and the remote Liverpool River region.

Day 6 – Fishing & Cultural Experience

Enjoy an exclusive barramundi fishing adventure on the Liverpool and Tomkinson Rivers, followed by visits to Maningrida Arts and Cultural Centre and Djomi Museum.

Day 7 – Mount Borradaile

Journey through West Arnhem Land to Mount Borradaile and discover ancient Aboriginal rock art and cultural sites.

Day 8 – Explore Mount Borradaile

Explore ancient rock art galleries and occupation sites by 4WD, then discover the wetlands and abundant wildlife of Cooper Creek.

Day 9 – Cobourg Peninsula & Seven Spirit Bay

Travel into Garig Gunak Barlu National Park and cross Port Essington by boat to Seven Spirit Bay.

Day 10 – Port Essington & Victoria Settlement

Cruise Port Essington and explore the historic Victoria Settlement, followed by a scenic return through the Cobourg Marine Park.

Day 11 – Fishing & 4WD Adventure

Enjoy a fishing adventure in Port Essington before exploring the Cobourg Peninsula by 4WD, including the Nipa Palm gallery and Gunners Quoin Lookout.

Day 12 – Scenic Flight to Darwin

Depart Seven Spirit Bay on a scenic flight across Van Diemen Gulf to Darwin, followed by a sunset dinner cruise.

Day 13 – Depart Darwin

Can I travel if I require special assistance or mobility aids?

Passengers are required to have a reasonable level of mobility to be able to board and alight the coach unaided. Due to space restrictions aboard the coaches, we are unable to accommodate passengers who require the use of wheelchairs or walkers. Vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair ramps or lifters. Passengers requiring physical or mental assistance must be accompanied by a companion who is willing and capable of providing such assistance.

Passengers can bring a walking stick; however, recommended that it be telescopic/collapsible for ease of storage.

Can I bring a sleep Apnoea (CPAP) Machine?

Please advise us in advance if you require a sleep apnoea machine, so we can request the most appropriate room for you. Your machine can be brought as additional luggage.
