Itinerary

Day 1 – Adelaide and the Grampians

Begin your East Coast adventure aboard the Great Southern as it departs Adelaide. Settle into your cabin and enjoy the changing landscapes over morning tea and lunch. In the afternoon, arrive in the Grampians and choose from a range of Off Train Experiences, including Halls Gap and Boroka Lookout, a guided walk to Venus Baths, wine tasting or a visit to WAMA Environmental Arts & Garden. Return to the train for dinner as your journey continues north. (L, D)

Overnight: 2 nights Great Southern

Day 2 – Canberra and Surrounds

Enjoy breakfast on board before arriving in Canberra, Australia’s political and cultural capital. Choose an Off Train Experience visiting the Australian War Memorial, Parliament House or the National Portrait Gallery. Enjoy an exclusive lunch at Old Parliament House before returning to the train for dinner and an evening relaxing in the lounge. (B, L, D)

Day 3 – Coffs Harbour and Surrounds

Wake to breakfast as the Great Southern arrives in Coffs Harbour. Choose from experiences including the Coffs Explorer and Forest Sky Pier, the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden and local markets, or a guided walk along the Urunga Boardwalk with an Indigenous guide. Gold Premium is a new style of travel sitting between Platinum and Gold. These contemporary cabins take inspiration from the Australian Outback. Convert from a lounge by day into upper and lower sleeping bugs at night, and have a compact ensuite including a toilet, washbasin and shower.
Platinum Twin cabins are almost twice the size of a Gold Twin and features two single beds by night. By day, this cabin is configured as a private lounge with deluxe seating, a table and two ottomans.
