Itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to Athens

Venture back to a time when great philosophers roamed the halls of the Agora and gods vied for supremacy. Embark on an unforgettable exploration of ancient myths and legends in the vibrant capital of Athens. Upon arrival, your Local Host will meet you and escort you to your hotel, where you can settle in and relax or explore the City of Violet Crown. This evening, join your Travel Director for dinner, savouring local cuisine while getting to know your fellow travellers.

Day 2 – Athens Sightseeing

Begin your journey into ancient Greece with a sightseeing tour of Athens, joined by a Local Expert who introduces landmarks such as Syntagma Square, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium. Continue to the Acropolis to stand beneath the Parthenon, a defining symbol of classical Greece. This afternoon is at leisure, with the option to join an Optional Experience to Cape Sounion and the Temple of Poseidon, or take part in a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience at a turtle sanctuary supporting local conservation. This evening, you may choose an Optional Experience at a traditional Greek taverna with music and entertainment, or dinner in the lively Psiri district.

Day 3 – Depart for Santorini

Transfer to the port for your early ferry to Santorini. Famed for the whitewashed Cycladic houses perched on dramatic cliffs, Santorini is a dreamy island escape. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and take time to relax. Why not take a dip in the pool? In the evening join your fellow travellers for a refreshing cocktail as you watch the sunset over the caldera and the Aegean Sea.

Day 4 – Santorini

Today, delve into the geological history of Santorini. In the morning, a Local Expert will reveal the secrets of this volcanic island and its dramatic caldera, uncovering the fascinating story of its formation. The rest of the day is yours at leisure. Why not head out for a swim at Ammoudi Bay, visit the Santorini Wine Museum, or ask your Travel Director for restaurant recommendations to enjoy the island’s culinary delights?

Day 5 – Santorini at leisure

With a day at leisure, why not take the opportunity to visit the site of Akrotiri, an ancient city covered by volcanic ash and unearthed in 1967. If shopping is to your liking, spend your time walking the white-walled alleyways, browsing the many shops and taking in the breathtaking views of the caldera.

Day 6 – Mykonos Sightseeing

Take the ferry across the Aegean to Mykonos and continue to your hotel. With your Local Expert, explore Mykonos town’s narrow lanes, where whitewashed Cycladic houses lead towards the windmills, Matogianni Alleys and Little Venice. As the island’s flavours come into focus, enjoy a light evening tasting of traditional Mykonian specialities and appetisers, learning how local ingredients, from olive oil and cheeses to breads and seasonal bites, shape everyday cooking on Mykonos.

Day 7 – Mykonos at Leisure

Today, you’ll have free time to explore as you wish, with many exciting adventures to choose from. Why not take a transfer to the picturesque Mykonos Town and explore the beautiful port area?

Day 8 – Mykonos

Board your kaiki for a real Insight Experience: a traditional boat, where you’ll meet a Greek captain and cruise around the stunning, world-famous Little Venice of Mykonos. As you sail, learn more about life on the island. Sit back and relax while enjoying views of the iconic windmills (weather permitting).

Day 9 – Depart Mykonos

You’ll be transferred to the port of Mykonos to board the ship to Piraeus in Athens. Upon arrival, you’ll be met at the port and transferred to your hotel in Athens. Enjoy your final evening with your fellow travellers over dinner, toasting the experiences you’ve shared.

Day 10 – Depart Athens

Bid a fond antío to your Greek island holiday. Your journey comes to an end with a transfer to Athens airport.
