Mon 23 November 2026: have a free morning and will make their way to Hilli Restaurant for lunch today. Hilli means to kick back or relax, and you’ll certainly do that in the lovely garden setting at this restaurant.
The rest of the day and evening are at leisure.
Tue 24 November 2026: make your way to Two Chimney’s Winery at lunchtime today for a delicious degustation-style wine tasting with matching food delights. The formal wine tasting includes wines from the Premium Wine Collection and is matched with an amazing collection of Noelene’s homemade delicacies – including produce from the garden.
Wed 25 November 2026, Happy Thanksgiving: Norfolk Island is the only place in the southern hemisphere to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, a legacy from the Islander’s Pitcairn heritage and also American whaling ships that would make frequent stops to the island during the late 1800’s. The Americans brought with them American-style recipes like pumpkin pie and cornbread. The day is usually celebrated by attending Church services and enjoying a traditional lunch with family and friends, and that’s what is planned for the day. This morning you’ll see the church decorated with generous displays of fruit and vegetables, which will then be auctioned off afterwards with the proceeds going to charity. Then it’s off to a traditional Island lunch. Sample some traditional Norfolk wetls (island dishes), including a selection of hot and cold meats, salads, and delicious desserts including mouth-watering local pies. Enjoy a glass of champagne as you kick back and listen to the live entertainment before returning to your hotel mid-afternoon.
The rest of the afternoon is at leisure, and dinner tonight is own arrangements.
Thu 26 November 2026: Is there a tour that takes your interest? Ask our friendly Reservations Team when you make your booking, and we can add it to your package. Why not check out the shops in Burnt Pine or take a walk through one of Norfolk’s fabulous National Park trails. Does the island’s history fascinate you? Wander through one of the many museums that are laden with stories of interest from Norfolk’s past. Or grab some lunch and take a picnic to one of Norfolk’s splendid scenic locations.
Early this afternoon, make your way to Bailey’s Restaurant at Governor’s Lodge for their wonderful Tea Party. You’re invited to have a hilli (Norfolk for being very relaxed or a little lazy) and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine on arrival as you partake in a selection of sweet and savoury delights and tea or coffee. Enjoy a mouth-watering array of tasty treats, including the traditional favourites like mini-scones and finger sandwiches, plus scrumptious hot and cold savouries and delicious delicacies.
Tonight is an Island Feast. Our culinary delights are a treasured inheritance from our Tahitian foremothers. This evening, step into the heart of Norfolk Island’s food culture as we uncover the traditional cooking methods from the dirt ovens of Tahiti known as “ahima’a” and follow the journey of these dishes as they were transformed by the Pitcairn Islanders. Along the way, you’ll see how our island community continues to achieve true “zero food miles,” where paddock to plate is not just a saying but a way of life. This is more than a meal – it’s a dining experience steeped in history, culture, and flavours that are as local as it gets.
Fri 27 November 2026: there is a champagne breakfast by the bay! Emily Bay on Norfolk was announced as the 3rd best beach in Australia for 2025, and the locals will argue with you and tell you it’s the best! This morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast in this beautiful location. Take the opportunity to swim in the bay while you’re there – you won’t regret it.
The rest of the day is at leisure. Don’t forget to use one of the Food Lovers Treats vouchers included in your pack. With our compliments! Grab a coffee, an ice cream, a muffin or another type of delicious treat from one of our many great cafes.
For dinner, make your way to the Homestead Restaurant for a sumptuous dinner in a delightful island home which has been in the owner’s family for over 40 years.
