Itinerary
Day 1 – Fly to Delhi
Fly to Delhi, where upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Once you have settled you have the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2 – Explore Delhi
Delhi’s charm unfolds as you drive past the iconic Red Fort, explore the vibrant Khari Baoli Spice Market on a rickshaw, and visit historical landmarks like Jama Masjid and India Gate. Serenity awaits at Lakshmi Marayan Hindu Temple, while Gandhi Smriti pays homage to the nation’s father. Witness the grandeur of Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament House, before delving into ancient history at Qutab Minar and the Iron Pillar.
Day 3 – Drive to Kanha National Park
Begin today’s journey into the heart of India’s wilderness with a flight to Nagpur, a city bustling with energy and warmth. On arrival, continue to Kanha National Park, driving through picturesque landscapes as you prepare for a series of thrilling safaris and the chance to observe majestic tigers, leopards and an array of other wildlife species in their natural habitat.
Day 4 – Kanha National Park
This morning, enjoy a walking safari in the serene Buffer Zone of the National Park, accompanied by an expert Lodge Naturalist. Walk amidst the untouched beauty of the forest as you learn about your surroundings. Later in the day, hop aboard a safari vehicle and venture deep into the wilderness, keeping your eyes peeled for wildlife as you explore the diverse landscapes that the animals call home.
Day 5 – Kanha National Park
A day of adventure with both morning and afternoon safaris. The early morning safari allows for the best opportunity to spot various species of wildlife, while in the afternoon the animals become more active, allowing you to witness their natural behaviour. As you explore different parts of the park, your chances of an unforgettable encounter increase.
Day 6 – Travel to Bandhavgarh
This morning you will travel to Bandhavgarh National Park. On arrival you will join the afternoon safari, allowing the expert guides lead you through the park’s diverse terrains, from dense forests to open grasslands. As the sun dips behind the horizon, the golden hour offers the chance to spot a variety of wildlife, including the elusive Bengal tigers, wild boars, spotted deer and a myriad of bird species.
Day 7 – Bandhavgarh
Today you have a morning and afternoon safari. The park’s diverse landscapes create an unforgettable wildlife experience, with each safari presenting the possibility of encountering new surprises, from majestic predators to graceful herbivores.
Day 8 – Travel to Khajuraho
Embark on an immersive morning walking safari in Panpatha Wildlife Sanctuary, accompanied by knowledgeable guides. Explore the untamed beauty of its rich biodiversity, from the smallest insects to the majestic tigers – an extraordinary glimpse into the delicate balance of nature. Afterwards drive to Khajuraho, where you will spend the night.
Day 9 – Panna
Drive to Panna and get ready for a morning boat ride on the enchanting Ken River, which gracefully flows through the Panna Tiger Reserve. This serene boat ride offers a unique perspective of the reserve’s diverse flora and fauna as you keep an eye out for the elusive wildlife that frequents the riverbanks. An afternoon game drive allows you to venture deep into the wilderness on the lookout for wildlife.
Day 10 – Travel to Agra
This morning you will explore the Eastern and Western groups of temples in Khajuraho, which stand as examples of ancient Indian craftsmanship and artistry. Marvel at the intricate carvings and sculptures that adorn these temples, each narrating stories of gods, goddesses, and daily life from centuries past. Afterwards, enjoy a tour of Orchha before boarding the train to Agra.
Day 11 – Agra
Discover Agra’s treasures in a day. Visit the Taj Mahal, the epitome of love, followed by Agra Fort’s historical grandeur. Participate in the artistry of a marble inlay workshop, where you witness the meticulous craftsmanship of transforming raw materials into works of art, and the traditional techniques used. In the evening, enjoy the live musical Mohabbat The Taj Show.
Day 12 – Return to Delhi
Today you return to Delhi, where you have the afternoon to relax or explore the city at your leisure. This evening, enjoy a memorable farewell dinner, savouring delicious cuisine.
Day 13 – 14 – Depart Delhi
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Australia, arriving home the same or following day.

Day 2 – Explore Delhi
Discover the contrasts of Old and New Delhi, beginning amongst the colourful, bustling streets of the old city. Admire Jama Masjid before taking a cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk. Continue through New Delhi, passing India Gate and the government district, before visiting poignant Gandhi Smriti. Later, explore the magnificent Mughal architecture of Humayun’s Tomb.
Day 3 – Train to Agra
Board the train to Agra and discover the mighty Agra Fort, an impressive complex of red sandstone palaces, courtyards and pavilions. See the intricate skill of local artisans at a traditional marble inlay workshop before visiting India’s most iconic sight, the Taj Mahal. Take time to admire its exquisite white marble architecture and learn the moving story behind its creation.
Day 4 – Khajuraho Temples
Travel by train into the heart of Madhya Pradesh to Khajuraho. Here, explore the magnificent UNESCO-listed Khajuraho Temples, renowned for their extraordinary sandstone carvings and considered masterpieces of medieval Indian architecture.
Day 5 – Panna National Park
Your wildlife adventure begins in beautiful Panna National Park. Cruise along the peaceful Ken River, watching for birdlife and wildlife amongst the surrounding forest, before heading deeper into the reserve on your first jeep safari. Explore Panna’s forests, grasslands and rocky landscapes in search of deer, antelope, monkeys and the elusive Bengal tiger.
Day 6 – Travel to Bandhavgarh
This morning you will travel to Bandhavgarh National Park, one of India’s most celebrated tiger reserves. Join an expert naturalist to learn more about the Bengal tiger, its behaviour and the conservation work helping to protect it.
Day 7 – Bandhavgarh
Spend the morning enjoying the peaceful surroundings of your lodge, with the option to join a guided nature walk and discover the area’s plants, birds, and smaller wildlife. Later, venture into Bandhavgarh National Park by jeep, exploring its forest and grasslands in search of spotted deer, langurs, wild boar, and with any luck, Bengal tigers.
Day 8 – Bandhavgarh National Park
Experience Bandhavgarh at different times of the day with morning and afternoon jeep safaris. As you journey deeper into the reserve, your naturalist will interpret the sights and sounds of the jungle, looking for tracks and other signs of animal activity. Each drive brings the anticipation of a new encounter and another chance to witness India’s wildlife in its natural surroundings.
Day 9 – Travel to Kanha
Travel through the countryside of Madhya Pradesh to magnificent Kanha National Park, renowned for its sweeping meadows and lush sal forests. Relax before joining a naturalist to discover more about Kanha’s remarkable ecosystem and the animals that call it home.
Day 10 – Kanha National Park
Today you will visit Kanha National Park, exploring its forests, meadows and woodland in search of Bengal tigers, barasingha, spotted deer, langurs and wild dogs. Later, visit a local tribal village for a glimpse into the traditional way of life of communities living alongside this remarkable wilderness.
Day 11 – Kanha safaris
Return to Kanha for two further jeep safaris, maximising your chances of memorable wildlife encounters. Journey through different areas of the reserve as your naturalist tracks signs of wildlife, keeping watch for Kanha’s diverse inhabitants and the elusive Bengal tiger.
Day 12 – Return to Delhi
Bid farewell to the landscape of central India as you travel to the airport for your flight to Delhi. Enjoy your final evening in India.
Day 13 – 14 – Depart Delhi
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Australia, arriving home the same or following day.
